Great food and great service. Yummy. Oh an their egg drop soap. Makes me smile. I promise I raised the next day wanting more.

I've ordered from these guys twice. The first time I got orange chicken and General Tso's chicken. Every single piece was dark meat, which I could have lived with (even though I prefer mostly white meat), but it had the weirdest texture I've ever encountered in chicken, almost like mattress foam. It was very heavily sauced, but I assumed it was chicken.
Fast forward a week or so, and my mom orders the same thing from her house. What arrived was pretty tasty and actually chicken-like, so I figured the order I made was a fluke.
I was wrong. I just ordered again and I got the same thing. This time I requested all white meat, so the mattress foam I received was all white. Some of it even tasted like fish. When I called to complain, the lady told me they never get complaints and this is why they don't like taking all white meat orders. I'm still not sure what this means.
I ordered through Doordash, so I ended up with a credit for the chicken-after I had to drive across town to return it. This gave me the opportunity to check out their restaurant, which explained a lot. I have no problem with dives, and I love old restaurants, but this place is just greasy.
As far as their other food, their fried dumplings were pretty good, but don't bother with the fried rice. It's not really fried, it's just yellow. The eggrolls taste like old cooking oil, as do the crab rangoons.
Bottom line: don't come here. -

I had an amazing experience!
My husband ordered sesame chicken with white rice. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. It all came out tasting amazing! We just moved from the San Antonio area so we're looking for replacement restaurants to regularly visit. Shang Yao has taken 1st place in Chinese cuisine for our little family :)
Nice, fast service too!

It's pretty standard fare as far as Chinese food goes. Usually, being a cultural person, I go for authenticity. Of course, Chinese is often the most difficult to find the genuine deal. I want to say this place comes close, but they have the same food that you'll find at any other Chinese place that serves fried Americanized stuff-including the fortune cooking, which actually did not originate in China whatsoever.
However, this place does have some really good cuisine, and fast on delivery. I've had food from them twice, and I really can't complain. Just a little extra and you can get some more meat, and a very good portion of soup. For Chinese food, I'd make an exception for this place-and the sushi gives them a step above all the other "Chinese" restaurants that like to include "Wok" in their name so as to appear genuine.... -

You would think something as basic as miso soup couldn't be messed up, but it can- it was literally seaweed soup. The fried rice was not only not fried, but the veggies in it were not cooked and it was filled with broccoli and onions. Literally half of the dish was onions! The only saving grace was the Chinese biscuits, the only food item on my order!
